Professor/prof. scholarship for women
- Geomatics

The Agricultural University of Norway (NLH), Department of Mapping Sciences , invites female applicants for a full-time position as a professor in geomatics. This is a position established by the Norwegian government to improve representations of women in the field.

The successful candidate will be responsible for research, supervising and lecturing within one or more of the following fields: cartography, GIS, geodesy, geodetic surveying, photogrammetry, remote sensing and theory of adjustment. Area of interest should be indicated in the application.

If none of the applicants is found qualified for full professor, a three year scholarship with full professor salary may be offered. The holder will automatically be promoted to full professor if found qualified at the end of the three year period.

Teaching and research administrative qualifications as well as scientific qualifications will be emphasized in the evaluation process.

The Agricultural University of Norway (NLH) is located at Ås about 30 kilometres south of Oslo, and has 900 staff members and about 2500 students. Together with other research institutes established at Aas, the university provides a vigorous and attractive academic environment characterised by a broad range of disciplines.

Salary per annum: level 60-68 of the Norwegian Government salary scale (code 1013) (approximately NOK 398 031 – 461 531 before taxes) depending on qualifications. Higher salary levels can be considered for outstanding candidates.
